Gods Faith Is Now

Faith Is Now

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. V-2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. V- 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Today we are going to talk about faith because without it you can’t please God. V-6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

1Jn:5-4  For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. How do you overcome the world? By managing your behavior with a renewed mind walking in agreement with the word of God

If we examine the phrase faith is, it will tell us this phrase is about the now. What we need to understand is faith deals with another realm which is called the spirit realm. Satan has produced bad seed through man having him to believe he is a spirit when God said exactly how he created man and what he is made of. Gen: 2-7

The scripture tells us in John 4:24

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. This word says God is composed of spirit, something totally different than the composition of man. What I believe will help us in our walk of faith is to know man is flesh and God is Spirit. Remember the scripture tells us, and God said, let us make man in our image after our likeness, not after our kind.

Gen:1, 26-28

v- 26 And God said; Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:
v- 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
v-28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

God created man to become god but man blew it in the garden when he heard the words of Satan and agreed with them instead of obeying the word of God.

Psalm 82: 6-7

v-6 I have said, ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
v-7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.

To be a believer we must do like Abram did, he believed God and acted on his word. Faith is you believing the word of God which do not appeal to your senses. Faith deals exclusively with things in the spirit that is not visible to the natural eye.

Based on what you say, believe and act on, according to what God has promised us in his word that we can receive now, can be manifested to us now if we don’t doubt, because those things are in the realm of the spirit. God is a Spirit and his word is Spirit therefore we must speak the word, hold fast the profession of our faith for he is faithful that promised. We know eternal salvation come at the end if we qualify

Ps: 119-89: For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven. It's done, all of God's promises are yes and amen that he has spoken.

This is why God gave us his word to own it, speak it, live it, love it and do it in Jesus name. All that man will ever need in this life can be found in the word of God which is spirit and life. Jn; 6-63. The word is God’s voice in the earth but he use men he has called and sent to convey his message to the people.

Everything God want man to have now is available to him now by faith. The problem is many people that call themselves Christians don’t know how to release faith therefore, what God has available now they are not able to access it for lack of knowledge.

The bible says; Psalm 37:37 Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace. That man is Jesus Christ the righteous who gave us a perfect example of how to release our faith in the story of the fig tree.

Mk: 11, 11-14, 20-26

v-11 And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.
v-12 And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
v-13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
v-14 And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it. Notice the action Jesus took, he said something, he released his faith by saying words, he spoke to that fig tree and said what would happen to it; and it did exactly what Jesus said.

Look at the results of what Jesus said:
  • v- 19  And when even was come, he went out of the city.
  • v- 20 And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
  • v- 21 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
  • v-22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
  • v-23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Those things are your words
  • v-24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
  • v-25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
  • v-26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
Let me interject this; someone might say why did Jesus curse the fig tree, it wasn't time for figs yet. In Matt:24-44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Although it wasn't time for the figs yet, the tree wasn't prepared to meet the Lord. A lesson we can learn from this story is, we need to be ready to meet our God everyday because none of us know the day or hour that may be our last.

There you have it; Jesus gave us a lesson on how to release our faith and get the same results he got if we follow after his example.

Jn:14-12   Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Some might think this was the first time the Lord said speak to something; no! what's written in the new is simply a revelation of something that happened or was said in the old.

Num 20:8  Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.

God wanted to be Glorified in the site of Israel by telling Moses to speak to the rock so Israel and their live stock would have water to drink. We will find out what happened in part 2. click here
